JP was an honor roll student at Whitefish Bay High School, a comprehensive public secondary school located in the village of Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin. Enrollment is about 1000 students, in grades 9 through 12.  JP's father Joe Sr. graduated from Whitefish Bay in 1960.  The school colors are blue and grey. The school's mascot is the "Blue Duke".
